I write about the places where probability, physics, and inference meet — mostly information theory, causal inference, econometrics, and machine learning, with the occasional detour into the physics that motivated me to learn this stuff in the first place.
What you’ll find here
Posts here tend to be one of three things:
- Worked notes — me working through a paper or technique carefully enough that I’d be willing to be quizzed on it.
- Short essays — opinionated takes on methodology, usually written after a debate I’ve had with myself or a colleague.
- Simulations — small computational experiments that test whether an intuition actually survives contact with data.
If anything here is wrong (and some of it surely is), please open an issue on the repo — I’d rather be corrected than confidently mistaken.
